EXTENDED INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

 

INTRODUCTION

IBIMI – Institute for Building Information Modelling Italy is committed to protecting the privacy of data of the parties involved, in compliance with Italian and EU laws on protection of personal data (Legislative Decree 196/2003 and “European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data, as well as their free circulation, henceforth “GDPR”). This extended information analytically describes cookies usage methods carried out by this website, in particular concerning the processing of personal data of identified or identifiable  website users. Cookies are small text files stored in a user’s browser. Most cookies contain a unique identifier called a cookie ID: a string of characters that websites and servers associate with the browser in which the cookie is stored. This allows websites and servers to distinguish the browser from other ones that store different cookies and recognize each browser by its unique cookie ID. This information contains all the elements required by art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and is prepared in compliance with art. 122 of the Privacy Code and the General Provision of the Guarantor of 8.5.2014.

PURPOSES AND METHODS

  • TECHNICAL COOKIES These are cookies used to navigate or provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for any other purpose and are usually installed directly by the website owner. Without using these cookies, some operations couldn’t be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure, such as home banking activities (viewing the statement, transfers, bill payments, etc.), for which cookies, which allow the user to be identified and maintain the user’s identification within the session, are essential. This website uses session cookies to ensure the visitor’s access to the reserved area; these cookies identify the user during his session and allow interaction with him. _ga Analytics 2 years The _ga cookie, installed by Google Analytics, calculates visitor, session and campaign data and also tracks site usage for the site’s analytics report. The cookie stores information anonymously and assigns a randomly generated number to recognize unique visitors.

_gid Analytics 1 day Installed by Google Analytics, the _gid cookie stores information on how visitors use a website, while also creating an analytics report of the website’s performance. Personal data is processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to pursue the previously explicit purposes. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illegal or incorrect uses, and unauthorized access.

 

RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES

The subjects to whom the personal data refers have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the same data and to know its content and origin, to verify its accuracy or request its integration or updating, or rectification. Based on the provisions of the GDPR, by simply communicating with the Data Controller, the interested party has the right to request the deletion, transformation into anonymous form, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, and to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, their processing. PERIOD OF CONSERVATION

Based on art.5, GDPR the data of the interested party collected will be stored for a period not exceeding the achievement of the purposes for which they are processed and based on the deadlines set by law.

 

LEGAL BASIS

By accepting the notice that appeared in the foreground banner on the first connection, the interested party authorizes the processing.
