IBIMI – Institute for Building Information Modelling Italy commits itself to protect the privacy of data in compliance with Italian and EU laws concerning the protection of personal data (Legislative Decree 196/2003 and “European Regulation 2016/679 regarding the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data”, hereafter referred to as “GDPR”).

This information is drafted pursuant to Article 13 of the GDPR, and we therefore inform you that:

  1. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING AND LEGAL BASIS

The data processing of the subject is based on the subject’s consent when accepting the cookie policy and continuing to navigate this site. The purpose of data processing is to enhance the web browsing experience.

Within the limits relevant to the processing purposes, the data of the subjects may be communicated to partners, consulting firms, private companies, appointed as Data Processors by the Data Controller, or due to legal obligations or to fulfill specific requests.   1. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Browsing data: the IT systems and software procedures in place for this website operation, during their routine activities, acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in internet communication protocols. This data, by its nature, could allow users to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, the time of request, the method used to submit the request to the server, and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT environment. This data is used solely to extract anonymous statistical information on website use and to ensure its correct functioning. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical cybercrimes against the site. Data voluntarily provided by the user: the optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of data to this site implies the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, needed to respond to requests, and any other personal data sent. Specific short privacy notices will be displayed or presented on the website pages prepared for special request services. Cookies: The site does not use technical/profiling third-party cookies, which could collect users’ browsing data, the provision of which is optional and occurs through free and informed consent. Cookies are used to analyze the effectiveness of the site and make it more intuitive over time. The data collected through cookies are used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and efficient in the future.

 

  1. DATA PROCESSING METHODS

Personal data collected during browsing will undergo processing operations in compliance with the aforementioned regulations and the confidentiality obligations incumbent on the Controller and/or Processors. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use, and unauthorized access. Data will be processed both with IT tools and on paper, as well as any other suitable type of medium, in compliance with appropriate security measures under Art. 5 par. 1 let. F of the GDPR. This Site and the Controller’s Services are not intended for minors under 18 years of age, and the Controller does not intentionally collect personal information related to minors. If information about minors is unintentionally recorded, the Controller will promptly delete it upon user request. Exercise methods of rights: At any time, rights can be exercised by sending:

  1. RIGHTS OF PERSON CONCERNEDS

Persons concerned have the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the data and to know its content and origin, verify its accuracy, or request its integration, update, or rectification. According to the GDPR, by simply notifying the Controller, the person concerned has the right to request the deletion, transformation into anonymous form, or block data processed unlawfully, as well as to object, for legitimate reasons, to their processing.   1. RETENTION PERIOD

Pursuant to Art. 5, GDPR, the collected data will be stored for a period not exceeding the achievement of the purposes for which they are processed and according to the deadlines set by law.
