The RES2 project will draft a comprehensive analysis of the state-of-the-art of the building sector training system, of the needs of renovation of the Italian building stock as well as of the needs for workforce upskilling. It will initiate a shared discussion with key stakeholders at national level, to identify potential social/technological/political/legal barriers and solutions for the skills gap problem.

DEVELOPMENT AND FORMAL RECOGNITION OF NEW PROFESSIONAL PROFILES

  • Identification of new professional profiles with digital and green skills in the building sector, not yet formalized in the regional repertoires, complete of EQF level and precise role description
  • Promotion of the recognition of new professional profiles in the national contracts (thanks to the participation of CNCE in the project partnership)

ROADMAP TOWARDS THE 2030 OBJECTIVES

The comprehensive ROADMAP will describe actions to be taken and funds needed to overcome the digital/green skills gap in the building sector, thereby facilitating the achievement of the 2030 objectives of energy efficiency of buildings.

  • Quantitative analysis of buildings to be renovated or built
  • Estimate of possible maintenance interventions/technologies to be applied
  • Proposals for updating VET curricula and for introducing new training courses for the building sector
  • Identification of actions to take and of the responsible stakeholders
  • Analysis of funds needed to implement the Roadmap

WOMEN IN THE BUILDING SECTOR

Every RES2 report will contain a focus on the issue of the grave gender gap in the construction industry and on its effects on the gap competences problem.

We will study strategies and solutions to promote female careers in the building sector, starting from the development of digital and green skills.
