The RES2 project will draft a comprehensive analysis of the state-of-the-art of the building sector training system, of the needs of renovation of the Italian building stock as well as of the needs for workforce upskilling. It will initiate a shared discussion with key stakeholders at national level, to identify potential social/technological/political/legal barriers and solutions for the skills gap problem.

Based on the results of the desk analysis and of stakeholder inputs, the RES2 project will draft the ROADMAP for achieving the 2030 objectives.
STATUS QUO REPORT ON THE BUILDING SECTOR TRAINING SYSTEM
- Focus on digital and green skills
- It updates the results of the status quo report of ARISE and other EU funded project (among which Blueprint)
- Complete analysis of all the educational and training offering in Italy (school offer, IFTS, ITS, professional courses, company training, ecc)
- Desk and field analysis
REPORT ON STAKEHOLDER INTERVIEW
- About obstacles and possible solutions to the digital/green skills gap problem in the building sector
- Interviews to key national stakeholders in the construction industry: decision makers (ministries, Regions), professional associations, technological districts, company associations, ecc:
- Both in person and online interviews
DEVELOPMENT AND FORMAL RECOGNITION OF NEW PROFESSIONAL PROFILES
- Identification of new professional profiles with digital and green skills in the building sector, not yet formalized in the regional repertoires, complete of EQF level and precise role description
- Promotion of the recognition of new professional profiles in the national contracts (thanks to the participation of CNCE in the project partnership)
ROADMAP TOWARDS THE 2030 OBJECTIVES
The comprehensive ROADMAP will describe actions to be taken and funds needed to overcome the digital/green skills gap in the building sector, thereby facilitating the achievement of the 2030 objectives of energy efficiency of buildings.
- Quantitative analysis of buildings to be renovated or built
- Estimate of possible maintenance interventions/technologies to be applied
- Proposals for updating VET curricula and for introducing new training courses for the building sector
- Identification of actions to take and of the responsible stakeholders
- Analysis of funds needed to implement the Roadmap
WOMEN IN THE BUILDING SECTOR
Every RES2 report will contain a focus on the issue of the grave gender gap in the construction industry and on its effects on the gap competences problem.
We will study strategies and solutions to promote female careers in the building sector, starting from the development of digital and green skills.
